Open Water Safety Course, Oslo
Open water safety is an important component in the strategies to reduce drowning. ILS Europe, ILS Lifesaving Academy and the Norwegian Life Saving Society is pleased to organize this upcoming course to build skills, strengthen knowledge, and connect with others committed to improving safety in open water environments.
Short overview of the course: The Open waters safety course is a three-day course that starts at Friday 16th October with a walking dinner at the teaching facility of the Norwegian Lifesaving Society. After the dinner, three keynote speakers will prime the students with the fundamentals of safety in the context of high-risk environments, including open water. After the evening session, the participants will have a refreshing 30-minutes walk along the seaside to the Radison Blu Park hotel.
Next day, Saturday, there will be interactive sessions and a role play at the teaching facility along with a workshop on the beach in front of the teaching facility. Lunch will be at the teaching facility. The day will end with a dinner at the Radison Blu Park hotel after which the participants can enjoy each other company, explore Oslo, or both.
On Sunday, interactive lectures will start at 9 am and end at 2.30 pm with a lunch at the teaching facility.
